Broken Cove Hustler frame

After six years my Hustler frame gave in. The top tube snapped next to the seat tube welding seam. I know the tube is most likely to break next to a seam but am puzzled as of why it broke where it did. Is this a particularly likely spot for this to happen in this frame (or in this type of frame)?

That area is subject to a lot of stress from the seatpost... the more seatpost you run the more stress you put on that area. I did read once or twice, I think on the singletrack forum, that its happened to a few others.
