Scott Nude shock gritty sound fix HELPP!!!

I have a scott scale 30 with dt swiss scott nude rear shock which started to sound very gritty when compressed.
I let the air out unscrewed the main chamber to expose the damper rods and foam rings gave everything a clean yet it still sounds gritty even though the outer casing is removed and internals are immaculately clean. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
