Turbo Trainer Tyres

Was just wondering if any of you guys know any quick and easy ways to turn an old worn mtb tire into a smooth tire? or will i just have to purchase a knew turbo trainer tire and if so could you recommend one?

  • buy a proper TT tyre as they're made of a harder rubber that won't break down at higher temperatures that your tyre will experience on a TT.

    Buy the right thing as said above - I bought a schwalbe one from CRC for not much (20?)

    Halfords have a good deal on a TT 26" tyre at the moment.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
