FSA integrated headset issue

I've just been doing a little spring cleaning on my bike, when I pulled the forks out of the frame 3 paper thin washers 2/3 mm wide fell from the headset. They seemed to have been located between the compression ring and the upper bearing cover but I'm not 100% certain.
Can anybody confirm where they should be located, it just seems a little odd that there were three washers.
I've had a nose on the FSA website and I'm non the wiser. Cheers
