Head is battered please help! Cervelo BBright crank choice
As titled. Nothing seems simple to me these days maybe its an age thing. I want to upgrade my crank for visual & weight reasons. My R3 comes with the BBright system and is currently fitted with a cheap FSA crank set. I have replaced my 105 stuff to ultegra. & would normally fit their hollow tech crank to complete the set. I realise now that I need some sort of adaptor to fit this option ( links to a provider would be appreciated)
My question is what would be a simple lightweight option to simplify the process?
I have been told rotor but every time I see one advertised its cranks only. There are some FSA slk ones on the bay but most of them say bb30????? Oh and what tooling would be required to remove my current set up
Please help!! Thank you in advance of any replies

This bb will work with a Shimano crank:

Other than the normal Allen keys to remove the current crank, you will need this to remove the bb:

The rotor bb should push in by hand, but for an accurate job you will need a bearing press:

Think that should sort it!0 -
So in my ignorance. I remove my crank. Push/press the adaptor in and the hollow tech 2 fits straight in? What about FSA cranks? Any good spec ones that will simply replace? My bikes

Why not take it to you LBS? If you're not competent mechanically, press-fit BBs aren't the best place to start.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Don't forget that BBright cups need to be glued in, read up on the Cervelo forum.0

Will this fit then?

Just had a thought, all Cervelos with BBright BB's are shipped with SRAM cups as standard, if these will be suitable then just buy us a drink and pay for the postage and they are yours?0

Gentlemen the crank arm is off!!!!!!!
took the bike to a local halfords as the guy said he would have a tool but at 1st no luck. Then he looked around the showroom and found the boardman had a similar crank on. Anyway to cut a long story short. Mine was missing the threaded washer. As soon as he fitted it to my crank & using the 10mm Allen bolt it removed the whole crank arm!!!! No cost either. Happy days!!! Cheers all!
