If those are the right specs, the GT for sure, but remember specs change with year!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I'd agree with that.I don't do smileys.

GT is a more reputable brand and much better specced. Frame is also better and more able to take any future upgrades - although with that being said a whole new bike would make more sense then any upgrades so its a nullpoint.0

The spec on the GT is way betterFramebuilder

My voodoo bizango is fantastic, but when to first when into the lbs the guy on the desk smirked, a brand means nothing, in this months MBUK, a bike made by go outdoors (the camping shop) was named THE hardtail to buy under £400, considering the shop have never made bikes before I'd say it's pretty high praise.Framebuilder

I wouldn't say 'made', marketed, probably made by Merida, the same company who make Carrera, Boarbman and many others, including low end Specialized. Having said that Decathlon don't use Merida, so maybe G.O. don't.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Sorry, I didn't mean literally manufactured by them, as most bikes are 'made' in the same place, however I presume that it would be go outdoors who decide the specification and parts, and have actually packed some very good componentry into a bike which you can get at £340, £20 cheaper than the Carrera Vulcan which has x3, suntour xcm, and very standard finishing kit.Framebuilder
