Stronger, Young's modulus is higher and creep rates are reduced, that OK?
You shouldn't be using it in a humid environment. Under normal conditions humidity isn't enough of an issue to worry about.
I prefer to design around KNOWN properties, not approximate values. I want to know exactly how a component will behave under load.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

I just can't believe we've strayed so far from the really important issue - i.e. coloured fasteners are gash...0 -
OP - see what you started with your ridiculous request?

It is inevitable when you get two engineering gods like Rockmonkey and the Beginner coming together head to head0

Yes, indeed, how dare someone have more in-depth knowledge of a subject than you. That is so irksome! All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.

Trouble is it's a catch all, and is used to mean "I know more than you", when it's often not the case. I wouldn't say to someone "I'm a cyclist" in a derisory tone if they started talking to me about BMXs, but engineers do it a hell of a lot. Not saying that's the case here, but along with "I was just riding along..." it's one of the most irritating things customers say.0
