Hi. Want to take apart my Mavic equipe freehub for a bit of a clean before reassembling, but not sure what kind of mineral oil I should use. I watched a youtube vid which suggested some mineral oil by Pedro's, but given only a small amount was used, could I get away with using some Rock n Roll Cable Magic? Or will this ruin it? thanks in advance...

Pedros Road Rage? Far as I know they no longer make it - there is a suggested alternative on Pedros web page.

I got some mavic Freehub oil but sewing machine oil or the stuff they put on hair clippers is supposed to work - never tried it though. I guess the key is a very light oil that wont make things stick together and something that wont degrade the rubber seal (if any oil would - I don't know).

Great - just remembered I have a small bottle of light mineral oil that came with some hair clippers. Thanks for the tip!
