Knee Pads - Big Legs!

Hello,
Being a BMX racer in the past, I have fairly large quads and calves.. I just purchased the new 661 Rage 2014 knee pads in Xl but they were too small. Think more Chris Hoy than Vicki Pendleton.
Has anyone tried some decent knee pads that fit their larger legs please? My quads are about 55cm and calves are around 48cm.

I have similar size legs to yourself and on research I got a pair of the older 661 Kyle Straits in XL and they seem to fit fine.
I think you can still get them on eBay.0
