Garmin 500 (compatible?) HR

I'm looking for a HR monitor for my Garmin 500

- do I need an ANT+ one ?

- if so, I assume any ANT+ will work, it doesn't have to be Garmin ?

- if so, any recommendations (preferably cheaper !) : I've read on other posts on here that the original plastic Garmin strap appears to be more reliable than the newer Premium fabric one...

- Decathlon have a 'Geonaute'-brand one at £29.99

Any ANT+ device will work. Like you say, Decathlons is one of the cheapest out there
