Sora Triple derallieur on 105 double

QQ - I've just swapped some kit over for my wifes bike - she had Sora Triple with 8 speed - I've swapped in 105 (5700) double 10 speed.
I'm in the process of changing her triple crankset for a compact double ...

Rear derallieur has already been swapped as her old one disintegrated - but I haven't swapped out the front one - which is a Sora Triple (30/39?/50) - so the question is - will this work ok on a 105 double (34/50) ?

    triple front mech/shifter work fine on a double or compact

    just adjust it so that it shifts to big ring on the middle to big position on the shifter, use inner limit screw to stop the front mech just inside the small ring
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

    I have a sora triple shifter and front mech with a compact, it works fine.

    I don't know if you have also changed the left hand shifter to a 105 double though?
    Red bikes are the fastest.

    Ta - the shifters have been changed - so she's going to have a double instead of the triple.
    It does sound as though it should work - I was just concerned at the slightly different shape of the triple mech cage.
