It's not a great price. If its in really good condition I guess it's not too expensive.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I would've thought I'd be doing well to get £250 for my immaculate Kraken.0 -

I would say amazingly well. I sold mine for £150 a couple of years ago and it was immaculate.0 -
Too much. They're still selling new ones for £300.0

I only paid £240 for it new anyway (reduced from £400), but I've decided not to sell it anyway - it's getting the Elixir 3s off my Boardman and I've ordered new bars and stem (again - these will be the third pairing), seatpost (inline, rather than laid back, to shorten the reach a bit on the 20" frame), new forks and a 180mm front disc. Just need pedals and tyres now.0 -
If I still had mine I would do the same buddy. Not worth selling really0

That was my logic. I figured with a little investment it'll be a good bike for local door to door non gnarly rides (not that any on my rides are very gnarly) and XC type stuff and winter bike, since it's a decent frame, leaving my full susser for trail riding (and avoiding winter wear and tear on the linkages and bearings). £50 for 750mm Funn bars and 50mm Kore stem, £121.50 for new Epicon forks (which I'll convert to 120mm to sacken the head angle a little), £12 for a seatpost and £11 for an Avid G3CS disc.0 -
Far too much for a Vengeance which has poor brakes and a dreadful fork, £150 absolute tops.
Most Carreras are worth much more in bits than as a whole bike!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
It's immaculate, should I make him an offer then?Framebuilder

Why are you asking us? Don't pay what he's asking, but it could be a good buy if you get him down.0

I'm saying that because I don't know too much about what costs what etc, how much do you reckon it's worth?Framebuilder

How old is it? At a guess I would say its worth half of its new price so £150 tops0

I've bought much better bikes for under £150, if you want a bike for mountain biking it's not up to the job anyway, so £10 would be too much to pay, otherwise. T's worth £150 tops.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Jut for my dad, he's been lookig at a coupled bikes, including this and a used voodoo, might have seen the thread about fitting a larger rotor, he wants something that in the week he can put slicks on and cycle to work, ten on the weekends come out to Cannock, Llandegla etcFramebuilder
