Hi All from a very keen new mtb er
MTB ing is all new to me so you will have to forgive me if my question is a little silly.
I've bought a Specialised Carve 29er and would like to get a second set of wheels, as I'm on a budget they will be second hand, what do I need to check to make sure they fit ?
Thank you for any advise.

Thanks for the quick reply.
When you say axel with would that be the hub total length?
With the rear wheel where the cassette fits are they speed specific ie you can only put a 10 spd cassette on a 10 spd hub, or will it work on a 8/9 wheel.0 -
The width between the frame/fork dropouts, on the wheel it's called the OLD (Over Locknut), 'standard' is 100mm front, 135mm rear, with 9mm OD QR front and 10mm OD QR rear fitment, but that may not be what is on your Carve.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
