What tyre to replace 700x35c

Hello all,
I'm just getting back into cycling after many years off and need some advice regards a tyre replacement.
I have a cyclocross bike with 700x35c tyres fitted. I've bought a turbo trainer and need to purchase a spare slick tyre that doesn't deafen me when I use it. Looking at various sites (only briefly) a lot of slick tyres come in 700x23 or 25 sizings. Would these be compatible or do I need to stick with a 700x35c?
Apologies if this is a daft question!
Cheers

Shouldn't really matter if you're only using the tyre on a turbo, but a narrower tyre will be more difficult to fit. Suggest you look at 25 or 28mm tyres - doesn't have to be slick, a slight tread won't create a problem.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
