Not sure if the Specialized Roval 2014 carbon wheelset is the lightest but at 1370g they are pretty light.
Not light on the pocket mind.

Or the DT Swiss carbon ceramic disc at 1390g:

For what bike/riding, and what is your weight?0

Extralite Hyperhubs, AX Lightness rims and Sapim Superspokes would be about 1100g.
Tubs will be lighter, you could do 950g. I'm guessing you may not have the budget for either of those though...?
Stan's Valor, whilst not out yet are promising 1200g for £1700. Ryde Edge MC-1 rims are light, they've got potential to build into some light wheels. Or Stan's ZTR Race Gold.0 -
Im 13.5 stone and looking for a set that I can race on and do long endurance stuff on like WHW and Kielder 100.Specialized S Works Venge

I had the 26" Podium MMX rims, and they were good. No idea about the 29ers, you are over the weight limit, if you're bothered by such things.0

They're not that light. Good, but not that light.
I've ordered some of their lightest 29er rims (the hookless ones - specifically asked for the lightest, they're both 355g), I've got some AM Classic hubs and Revolution spokes, may be a whisker under 1400g, but not the lightest by far.0 -

If you want to push your budget on some really nice wheels, ENVE's weigh in at 1182g0

For that budget I'd probably go for some bors. Bor 1388s will run you about 650 I think.A Flock of Birds

Only in tub format, the clinchers are 1382g on the same hubs, and if you're spending DT Swiss 180/Enve cash then you could get under 1000g with tubs without too much bother.0
