Road cycling and bike hire from Aosta

Hi,
I'm going to Aosta in Italy in April as part of a ski trip but fancy a day on a bike. I know April is a bit early in the year for tackling high roads and cols but was wondering if anyone thinks it's worth the effort of finding somewhere to hire a bike. On that note, can anyone recommend road bike hire shops in Aosta? I know the shop next to the gondola station does MB hire but not sure about road bikes. Sadly I won't be able to take my own bike but will happily take my kit if it's likely to be worth it.
