Old Vs new bottom brackets
I have got an old bike with a bottom bracket where the metal of the bottom bracket sits on the outside of the bike frame, with I think 6 notches in the metal. Park Tools make a BBT7 and BBT9.
Problem is my bottom bracket has two internal plastic cups with a ton of notches on them.
Park Tools don't seem to make one for it with a long handle, only the thing itself to go into the bottom bracket so you'd need an adjustable wrench on it.
Does all of this sound right lol. The ones that are BBT7/BBT9 types are old bikes.
I need tools to remove both types, but I already have one for the "ancient" type bottom bracket.
The "BBT-18" looks like it would be the right one for my current "modern" bottom bracket cups:

Is there only those two types in general? Ones with external rings with 6 notches and ones like the above pic?
If I acquire any more tools I could start fixing/maintaining bikes for people.
