I've got the SS Tech 3 EVO XC build & i can't fault it, excellent build quality, components are nicely finished and so far they hold up to my lardy arse.
So i would go for one of the EVO builds.0 -
Mavic Crossrides are great as well - I got them for £120 from Bike-Discount.
Road - Dolan Preffisio
MTB - On-One Inbred
I have no idea what's going on here.0 -
Couldn't say on the superstar wheelsets but Crossrides are bullet proof... I've got a 10yr old (v-brake) pair, they've never needed truing & bearings are all good0

Superstar tech 2 wheel set are reduced to £100 saving of £50 as long as you like gunmetalpity those who don't drink, the way they feel when they wake is the best they will feel all day

Superstar build quality can be a bit variable- I've seen some that were perfect, as good as you could want. And some that you'd think were someone's first attempt. But at this price you can afford to gamble, a pro rebuild for both ends will still make them good value tbh.Uncompromising extremist0

Bought a set of new Halo T2s off ebay for £130. Had them on my SS for a while and they are sturdy enough for XC use. Come in a range of colours; white, black, ano Red and ano Blue.1999 Scott Vail - Work commute
