They are quite different tyres. I have used hans dampfs and didn't like the massive volume and drag but grip was ok.
The Rubber Queens im using now are lighter and less draggy but the side walls are a little weak.
I have also used Bontrager XR4's which are a better comprise and very grippy.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I love the predictability of the HD, you know exactly what it's doing and it never steps out unexpectedly. The size can be an issue, but as an all-rounder it is very, very good.0

Id prefer the RQs in the mud, but only in protection style. Not hugesly impressed in the dry though. The XR4s are a great all rounder. HDs are good in the dry but suck pretty bad in the mud.A Flock of Birds

something like the X-king or mountain king 2.2 protection would be more suitable for cathkin most of the year. in the dry (when ever that is) then a faster rolling tyre would make more sense.0

its an excellent place, even more so if your local, doubt they tyres would be ideal for me on my local trail up the Kilpatrick hills, quite boggy when even a tad wet.Giant Reign 2
