Hi, when I'm in my smallest ring at the front and largest cog at the back (1:1) my chain is rubbing against the side of my front derailleur, what can I do to stop this rubbing? Is there some way I can adjust it to stop it from doing this? My chainset is a compact by the way.
Thanks - Dave

Sounds like you need to have a bit of a play and do some adjustments.

Good place to start is here from the late oracle of all things bike related

Should be straight forward - just requires a bit of patience and a good eye.

You just need to move the mech in a bit. It is quite a fine adjustment so take your time doing it and it may take a couple of attempts to get what you want.

Either the low limit screw needs adjusting or the cable tension is a bit too high. Might be easier to disconnect the cable to start with. If the chain rubs, you know its the low limit screw. This is an easy to follow video for setting up from scratch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxV_vKlgolc
