Hi everybody!
We are Daniele Giannotta (1982, musicologist, cultural worker and sound artist) and Elena Stefanin (1984, Graduated in Culture and Human Rights), just two classic hi-skilled and unemployed italians who decided to follow their passions and try to make a profession out of that. Our project is a respectful exploration of Central Asia by bicycle for documentary purposes.
Our journey will start from the Danube delta in Romania in may 2014, we'll cross Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to arrive Kyrgyzstan in october of the same year. Passing the winter in Kyrgyzstan we'll be back on the road in spring 2015, towards north Kazakhstan, Tuva and Mongolia.
During this months we'll shoot ten reportages, about ecological and anthropological themes (Aral Sea disaster, hydro-electric development in Georgia, Roma conditions in Romania and many others).
The project also includes the publication of a book and the realization of an audio-visual installation which we hope could be placed in events dedicated to touring cycling.
We're looking for hints and support, here there are two links about how to help us:
