Broken 105 5600 left shifter

Having searched the net extensively today I've discovered too late that the front shifter (now broken) I have is know to have a fault that causes the pawl to break and not hold the FD in position over the big ring.

Does anyone know if these things can be repaired or if they are available new. Not listed on Wiggle or Merlin. The groupset was bought from Merlin maybe two years ago and has had little use. I understand the dedicated double shifter doesn't have this issue. Would be a shame to junk the perfect right shifter (perfect ish - the bike blew over yesterday in the wind!).

    Search well known auction site. I picked up a triple 105 shifter brand new for £50. It was from far east but genuine article arrived.
    As far as i know the newer shifters are impossible to repair without 17 wasted hours of swearing and bloody fingers.
