Chain suck?

Can chain suck be caused by a new chain being to sticky with grease, especially when wet? Big ring to small ring and whoops! there's another chunk out of the front mech cage and potentially the chainstay.

    if it's happening with a new chain then it may be that the chainring is worn - after a few years i started getting chainsuck more and more frequently, new chainring fixed it

    otherwise check alignment is correct, no damaged/distorted bits etc.
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

    I have found it can be bad in very wet weather as your chain can be washed clean of all lubricant, so it sticks to the teeth a bit more. It was happening to me on a very wet ride today (new chainset coupled with a chain which still passes a chain-wear device)
