Any routes around the Colchester area.

Hi, all

Recently moved from Wiltshire to Essex nr Colchester is there any fellow mtbr's recommend any routes around here or nearby.

    I moved to Colchester a couple of years ago. I cycle with Thomas' Cycles, they do a very casual (more of a p*** about) Wednesday evening ride and they have taught me most of the routes I know.

    There are a few Colchester orbital routes along the River and using Friday woods etc. to the south, 20miles or so. Theres also some quite nice routes towards Fordham and that direction, and also a xc route to Tiptree woods. Have a look on Endomondo, lots of routes on there, or if you want I can send you links to some of the orbital routes from my Strava profile. Send me a PM if interested.

    Hi mate if I'm honest I haven't been for a few weeks as I'm having a knee problem. Normally wednesdays nights at 6, meeting at the shop, but would assume they aren't going until the new year now. Hopefully will go with them in the 8th.
