  • Just to add my 2p worth... As a result of finding this thread, whilst looking for opinions on Ksyrium Elites, I bought a pair from http://www.4thebike.de. Big thanks to Daniel B who patiently replied to my 'surely it's too good to be true' questions via PM. So with a little help from Google Translate I picked my way through the German website and ordered them for 370 EUR which worked out at £306.13. Cheapest I could find in the UK was around the £450-475 mark, but not many places have them in stock. That's quite a hefty saving.

I ordered them on Tuesday evening and they arrived Friday morning, I was kept up to date with shipping progress via the DPD website and even had the hour of delivery text to me in advance, they duly arrived on time. The packaging was good and the wheels are in perfect condition, correct spec etc. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I will be using 4thebike again, no doubt about it.

Here are a few pics of the unboxing.

Nice box... and I like the way they have aligned the sticker on the rim with the logo on the tyre... attention for details, that's what is all about...

  • My Elite rear wheel has just developed a crack. So that is one new wheelset thank you very much after not so many miles.

They look good, I will give you that, but a cracked rim after modest mileage is not my idea of VFM. Out of warranty also.

Me too - won't be buying them again. I weigh around 85kgs. I do give wheels a pretty good work out but they just didn't last for me. Both front and rear developed cracks in rim around spokes in only a few thousand miles.
