Except for the rigid bit.
Personally the Recon air, but the coils are good if the spring is right for your weight.I don't do smileys.

Recon Silver is very similar to XC32, but has slightly lighter stanchions and better bushings.0

Decent budget fork, and v light for the money.0 -
Prefer suspension forks. My shoulder (Rotator cuff tear) won't take rigids. I'm 67kg if that matters for coils.0

You need the coil suited to your weight.I don't do smileys.

Good Forks but they go up to £240 when you select 100mm! Thats more than i paid for the Rockshox 30 Gold TK Airs on my good bike!
Just looking for something not too expensive but not Stiff like the Suntour XCM which are like Rigids.0 -
That's a pity as is a superb fork. Can you run 120mm? If not I'd go for recon solo air or the epicon.0

Yeah most likely. Seen Some Recons for a bit cheaper. It says there Solo airs but not sure? I've never used Chain Reaction before.

Yeah, is a poor description, most likely coil.0

Yeah i thought that they couldn't be Solo Airs at that price as the XC 32 Solo Airs on Tweeks are more expensive.

Are these any cop. I'm not after amazing forks as its just a winter Hardtail but i don't want to be pogoed about like I'am with the Suntours. Got my Nice Hardtail (Cannondale SL5) which has just had money thrown at it Rockshox 30 Gold Forks. A mixture of SLX and XT stuff, new wheels. But i don't like using it through winter slop. So using my other Hardtail through winter.0 -
They are decent enough yes.
Here's an idea - put the xc30 on the winter bike and the manitou 120 on the cannondale?0 -

There these http://www.tweekscycles.com/components/ ... nkey-1-1-8 not XC 30 on the Cannondale at moment.
Didn't know the Cannondale would take 120mm? If so i'm annoyed as i found some Rebas which were 120mm.
Thinking the XC32 solo Air for the Shed bike then?0 -
They might take 120 , worth checking. That manitou is so good it seems a shame not to get it lol.
But the xc32 will do a nice job, heavy but solid.0 -

Aye, cant be as heavy as Suntour XCM's. Which are probably the worst fork on earth. They Don't move. Even my mate couldn't get more than 50 mm out of them and he's a right lard arse. I'm only slimline 5ft 10 and 67 kg on a good day.0 -
Been offered some Rockshox Sid Team 2009? They better?0
-
If they work ;-). But yes, are light and adjustable.0

The Suntour XC range do need to be regularly maintained, suspect a quick strip and grease will make them a whole lot better. I doubt an XC32 will be much lighter.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
