Specialized Epic Comp 2014

My pride and joy, the Epic 2014. This is the M5 aluminum model which is not available in the UK.
I changed several parts from my parts bin, some from my other 2 bikes and some I bought because of upgradeitis.
I plan to change the wheels to a pair of Stans Crests once funds allow. Them Rovals are so heavy.
Really happy with my Epic. This is my first 29er and completely sold to the bigger wheels!
The handling didn't feel far out from my 26er but the speed is immense. I'm faster uphills and attacking technical trails and downhills faster than I used to.
The ride is certainly confidence inspiring!

Yeah, it's pretty light despite having those heavy Roval wheels.
The rear shock is the new 100mm travel Specialized remote Mini-Brain inertia-valve shock with AUTOSAG manufactured by Fox. It is smaller and has new internals compared to previous brain shocks. It is also simpler to set up with only 4 brain fade adjustments.
The Spesh FS thread sounds good to me.Padyak rider0 -
