Crank brothers pedal rusting

I have a pair of CB eggbeater pedals. they are about 6m old.
the shafts are rusting quite badly. Has anyone else had problems with rusting. Does anyone know if there is warranty claim available in uk

    Most eggbeaters snap before they have a chance to go rusty.
