can i use my xc bike on a mtb/downhill trail

hi i have a specialised fsr xc bike its got rear shock (x fusion) and thick tyres I've been doing abit of trail riding lately on it but nothing major and I'm thinking about taking it to cannock chase and going on the stile cop trail its has drops but they are not massive so i was wondering would my bike be ok?

It should be fine. I used an FSR XC Pro for 15 months of the past 18 and it handled everything I threw at it which included Cwmcarn DH, black trails, bike parks, drops etc. From what I've heard the easier of the Stile Cop trails are not that difficult and don't require DH rigs. You may just need to adjust your suspension settings and pressures a little.

You will be fine. Your bike can get down any trail, a downhill bike will just get down the trail faster
