I remember them from the late 90s and thought they looked ahead of their time

That looks pretty weird but in a really nice way. It reminds of the GT LTS a little bit. Weird suspension design!

Had one briefly but with yellow linkages, was a nice bike to ride and the suspension worked pretty well... Damn stupid place to put the shock though, mine chewed two units before I got rid of it.
It's a nice retro build though with the Spins0 -
Nice looking bike, I wouldn't pay a grand for it though.Bird Aeris. DMR Trailstar. Spesh Rockhopper pub bike.0

I have the same rear mech on my main bike and that crankset on my 1997 retro steely.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Yeah I kinda agree that £999 is high, I saw one on ebay last year or the year before, didn't have Spins and it wasn't as pristine as this one but it only just tipped £300.
Not to say this guy wont get full price for it though, with these older bikes it really depends on who is looking and how hellbent they are on getting it0 -
What are the point of the plastic wheels? Other than looking good. They must be shocking for any type of offroading. They cost an arm and a leg aswell as far as i remember. Not worth the saved weight if there is any. The spinergy plastic wheels look the best IMO.0
