I have got a ribble alu winter frame (the blue one) that's ok but but could really do with a respray to make it fully tidy. Not really into blue so wont do it blue again.
Also the fork, which is carbon could do with a respray as its got tatty around the top (where it meets the alloy steerer). Can a carbon fork be painted with the same paint as the frame?
I fancy yellow frame and black fork.
Any one got any ideas for frame/fork combo bearing in mind that when it,s done I will probly flog it so need colours that will appeal really.

If you want it to go faster then it needs to be red with at least one stripe.0

What colour kit do you generally wear?0

There's a Klein in a cracking burnt orange, it's a great colour but It's finding the match.0

If you are just going to flog it when done, forget your personal taste and forget yellow. Probably dreary matt black or red. Yellow won't go with anyones kit unless you manage to sell to Lance Armstrong when he is feeling nostalgic!......Faster than a tent.......0

I'd go matt black0

spraying the forks is not a problem, any decent sprayer will be able to key the lacquer and spray whatever colour you want
don't go for black tho, you have the entire rainbow of colours to go at, pick something visible also
the orange kinesis aethin is really nice, I like pale blue - do a load of googling on images for ideas, because it's got old-school geometry you could do a retro 2tone paintjob
or if you are going to flog it, just sell it in it's current state, the cost of the respray won't be recovered in the sale price"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

The re-spray will not be cost effective - a Ribble alu frame is unlikely to attract a great deal! Given what you are likely to spend on a decent re-spray and the figure that you would get for the frame as it stands, you would be giving money away IMO0

I presume you will be re-spraying it yourself.
I've done a couple of frames and it's relatively simple as long you take your time with the preparation.
The frame & forks will need to be stripped down of all components then a good clean with soapy water and a rub down with wet sandpaper to get rid of any scratches.
Spray the frame & forks with primer / undercoat. A couple of thin coats is best. Rub down with 1000 grade wet sandpaper after each coat. Until there are no blemishes in the paint work.
Then same again with the top coats.
A final coat of laquer might be a good idea, depending what colour you go for.
All this time and hard work is fine if you are keeping the bike, but probably won't be worth it if you are selling.
Ebay is generally a good place to buy cheap spray paint. Much cheaper than Halfords.Tearfund Tour of Scotland 26th May to 1st June 2013

I had a whacky project for adding reflective zones to my touring frame by dusting glass microbeads onto the lacquer immediately after spraying. If you fancy trying something out of the ordinary!- - - - - - - - - -

Not so sure now what to do. It is not just a frame but a whole bike build project. Will sit on it a while .
Has as been pointed out, it does seem a bit over kill on this frame.Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori0
