Food/ Drink Routine

I had someone tell me the other day that I should drink Creatine before riding and consume a protein shake immediately after. I know when you are doing weight training you usually have protein after to repair muscles but this was the first I heard of having to consume certain things before and after biking. Does anyone else subscribe to this routine? Thanks!

What are you training for? What training are you doing?
The nutrition requirements are specific. 30 min recovery ride = no nutrition required. 6hr hills/mountains ride = lots of pre/rode/post nutrition.Rich0 -

The vast majority of mountain bikers over estimate the number of calories they're consuming, and thus the need to consume 'protein shakes' and the like after exercise. For most people they're superfluous and will just make you fat.
As above though, what sort of training are you doing?0
