I spotted what I think is a used Colnago Dream aluminium framed bike in my LBS today with Daytona 10 speed, 1" steel fork & silver Ksyriums for £750. Looked in good nick, main triangle had clover leaf style tubes and had Mapei paint job. A good deal, yes or no?

It's not the best of deals, but it's a rather nice setup, with a very reliable groupset... try to get it for 700left the forum March 20230

The mapei dream frames are going for strong money on eBay.
Could do with updating the group. Go for it for 700.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Not really... that era is pretty much where a line should be drawn, after that they only added plastic bits...left the forum March 20230 -

'early-ish Colnago'? That'll be a 1970's super, not a 1990's Dream. There are effectively 3 models of Dream - Columbus Altec tubing, Columbus Airplane and the final, more desireable B-Stay version. It's a 10 year-old frame that sold for £500-600 so in today's money, £250 tops - more if it has the Star fork. Combined with a old,mid-range groupset and a pair of wheels you can't get spares for £750 is top-end money. Ksyriums were only £400 at the time and the gruppo £300.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Dreams have been going on ebay for up to 700 quid just for the frame (I've been watching). Scary money for a 10yo alloy frame.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I have a Dream that I might eventually sell at some point, so I have been thinking about how much I might get for it.... I came to the conclusion that £750 would be the absolute tops (it is 9sp Ultegra, with a DA chainset and Easton EA90SLXs) but if what NapD says is true then it might be finding its way onto ebay! :-)
Personally I think £750 is a bit steep for the bike as described. It has probably been priced a little speculatively so if it is in good condition and you like it then maybe offer £600 or £650.0 -

105 in 10 speed came out around 2005-2006, so it's probably just before thatleft the forum March 20230
