Anyone know when or if kona reduce the price of bikes to make way for next seasons? are discounts to be had across the range or or is it just a case of what ever they have left will be reduced? i'm after a process 153 but not sure if i should hang on for a while.

That's one of the newer bikes in Kona's lineup so, unless they suddenly decide to change it again, you could be waiting a while for any big discounts.

That is a new season bike and its getting extremely good reviews. You won't find big discounts until next autumn when the 2015 bikes are released.
I was really tempted by the Process 143 but they are very expensive.

I thought so, just didn't want to risk paying rrp and then the price drops in the next couple of months. i take it you mean the 153?

i test rode a 153 at my lbs today, seemed like great guys and really knew what they where taking about, not pushy at all as well so i would be more then happy to spend my money with them.

Anyway after the demo I left feeling slightly disappointed really, not sure why. the bike seemed to be quite heavy in comparison to my kula hard tail (as you would expect of corse), and the breaks (deore) didn't seem to have the same bite as the slx set i had on my kula.

I only tested the bike round some flat dirt track which is obviously not what it's designed for. Also i was the first to use the bike so prehps the breaks needed bedding in, just didn't feel like the kind of one finger stopping power i expected.

Are you sure the 153 is the right model? I wouldn't buy one as an all rounder, it's a bit too gravity focused.
Give the 111 and 143 a test ride. Both are very capable bikes.

Rockmonkey means the Process 134 not 143 since the 143 doesnt exist.
