When did orange start making ugly bikes?

I used to have a nice understated p7 back in the early 90's which i enjoyed riding until it got nicked. Been looking for a new "all mountain" bike recently and have looked at Orange but just can't quite get over how crappy they look.
Im sure they ride as well as ever bla bla bla but from a purely acetic point of view i reckon the firm have completely lost there way. Whats with those fat agricultural looking chain stays on the orange 5? the big "made in halifax" grahpics don't do much for the overall appeal either, to me thats just saying they've been slapped together by some fat bastard in the arse end of nowhere

They aren't just ugly. They're very over priced as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Some people like them. Some of the people who like them buy them. There are enough of these people to keep Orange in business. Everything else is irrelevant really.0
