Was there any proof he was doing 80kmh (as impressive as the ride was)? It's not that easy to reach 50mph on a road bike going forwards. Sitting up backwards on a hybrid or whatever that was...
Completely insane though (though I was more impressed by the guys on the Colnago doing it on one wheel backwards  )ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
Mostly, that made me want to go back to Norway; why is there not a race up that climb?
But the cycling was quite clever too; must have had to brake very carefully with the weight that far forward on a 10% gradient.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

80kph - not a chance anyway, not sitting like that.
At most it looks about 20-25mph on the video, it's still impressive so why the need to big it up?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Yup - that's what I was referring to. But then the whole video is of an entirely different league - stunning skills. The Norwegian one is impressive enough though.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Ooh, here's one for G66

Edit: just found a slide show of this event on YouTube and it looks a bit epic: 1.2km swim in a fjord, then 34km ride of which 9km is climbing at mostly 10% gradient, then a run over boulders and snow (this is in July by the way) to the summit. Have to say the tri bikes and pointy hats seemed a little out of place on the climb.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)
