I have just done a seal and oil change on my float RLC 150's and used float fluid instead of 10wt green (I know! I know!!)

My question is..... when I amend this with the proper oil.... can I re use the dust wipers even though they have been dipped in float fluid????

really don't want to buy a new seal kit as they are a little pricey!

I lube my fork stanchions with a bit of Float Fluid. Excellent stuff.

  • if it's just the foam rings you've lubed with float fluid then no issue, if you have use iut for the lower leg bath you might wan to chuck a bit of green in to dilute it a cbit, float fluid id very viscous and does not get up around the bushing quite as easily as the suspension oil. additionally Mojo now recommend using Fox green on the foam rings on the new low friction seals. Me I use whatever is to hand and just use the correct weight for the damper, after all its just a lub for the seal and upper stanchion area
