Time - for new pedals

Am in need of a new set of pedals for the summer build. Since the nice alloy-bodied 105s are no more, replaced by either the nasty-looking 550s or the carbon-bodied new 5700 105s, I was wondering whether to go for two pairs of Time Xpresso 4s and sell on the current 105s.
Quite a few carbon or nylon-bodied pedals I've seen secondhand look trashed, which puts me off both the new 105s and the Times. Can they look as good one or two years down the line? I don't see Time pedals around very much (never have) so can anyone shed any light on them in terms of durability and comparitive feel to SPD-SLs?

I only ride Times. I put over 8,000 miles on base iClic2's (Xpresso 2) with zero servicing which is pretty good for a 30 quid disposable pedal. Do they look as good as new? Nope, but they're still in decent shape. I also have a pair of Xpresso 6 and iClic2 Carbon Titans (amazeballs).
They're much lighter and easier to clip into than 105's and have perfect float, what's not to like.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -
I've had a pair of I-Clic 2 pedals which fell apart on a ride after around 3k of use. So, for me, they specifically are not that durable, but it could just have been bad luck.
However, I replaced them with a set a Time Xpresso 4 and they have, so far, been very good. I will get a set of 8s for the summer bike most likely as these pedals seem to work well for me, but I'm not yet convinced by their durability as a brand, and don't even get me started on the cleats. Wore out a set of cleats in 3 months without really trying. Cleat covers are a must if walking anywhere, and I mean anywhere in them.
In summary; Xpresso 4s are good pedals, easy to clip in/out, lots of float and adjustment, look OK but not completely convinced by their durability.0 -
I've got Xpresso 6's and they've done about 4000 miles and are still perfect. Look a little mucky since their light grey but I don't care. Much easier to get in and out off, better float and lighter - I'd never go back to Look or SPD-SL. They only possible drawback is the cleats don't seem to last as long as the outer edge seems to wear and start to cause foot roll, but obviously that depends on how much you clip in/out and walk on them etc.0
