Pretty poignant given Martyn's condition :(

But glad they finished it for him

    Yeah, get well Martyn.

There is almost nothing in that video that I can do.
  • I like the way it is filmed. Very impressive to be doing it on that Colnago too.

    Coming soon: the Spesh 'duSoleil.

Unbelievable stuff. My vertigo reacted badly to the bridge crossings.

I love the bit with the gym ball, that would be so hard to actually get right. Some great stuff in these and I'm pleased the others finished it for him. Will he get better or is he paralysed? He has actually been quite important in the mountain bike scene in the UK. When the trials scene took off people in cities and towns suddenly could use MTBs everywhere and do interesting things even when they weren't near any trails. I remember him from my teenage years reading MBUK (Many years ago :) )
  • Can't watch it at work but I look forward to seeing it tonight.

might make my own "Yellow Peril Canyon party 1" which basically shows me taking one hand off the handlebars.

The MacAskill bit outside Manc velodrome is absurdly impressive. Won't say what it is so I don't spoil it for those that haven't seen it

No, he aint getting better I'm afraid :(

There's a really good interview with him in Privateer this month (well, it's last issue). I don't want to come over all Eamon and Fern but it's very moving and inspiring!

    Good video btw

  • Completely and utterly brilliant.
    Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
    Allround - Cotic Solaris
  • Tis a great video and the scene at the velodrome?! Brave to attempt that.
I hadn't realised that he was in a wheelchair still. Sincerely hope that he can make a full recovery

I wouldn't have expected you to like that FF, too many spacers under his stem
  • Absolutely superb. It is so joyful to watch and captures all that is so good about cycling. After a depressing couple of days on the forum it has lifted my spirits.

Completely missed this thread. Office xmas parties don't enhance observational skills.

    Great video.

Has the interview been taken off the link? Read the first paragraph at 5ish, and by the time I was home it no longer appears to be there?

It would be even better if he could ride it backwards going uphill.
