    my long term favourite boots are danner acadia, used them in snow, scrambling, ankle deep in loose scree, wading up streams, jungle, humping a 40kg pack, ok with c1 crampons, and good for kicking wild dogs in the face; overall, excellent protection, tough, no break-in needed, comfy, waterproof and breathable, my only complaint would be that the laces really are rubbish

    but as said upteen times above, fit is everything
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
