New WheelSet to buy

I'm in the market to buy a new wheel set. I am considering between the Mavic Ksyrium Elite S and the Zipp 202 Firecrest. Will the extra cost of Zipp's provide a substantial difference in performance or will the Elites suffice with the biggest bang for the buck? My local racing involves distances of 70 miles or so with rolling hills. Thanks for your input.

I'd go for the Zipps for aesthetic purposes.25% off your first MyProtein order: sign up via https://www.myprotein.com/referrals.lis ... EE-R29Y&li or use my referral code LEE-R29Y0

Mavic wheels are not great in the wero department. Zipp hub flanges do crack. Eveything has it downsides. I quite like the 202 rim but there are other alternatives out there too but in the open mold variety that cost alot less.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Zipp hubs did crack... they have now changed the hubs, so we don't know yetleft the forum March 20230 -
O.K did - still the rim is very nice and hubs can be changed if the worst does happen.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

I went with the 2014 202's, they told me they have a new hub that will eliminate the reported issues of a loose rear hub on the 2012's and 2013's. I got a good discount as well.0

When your location says Cave Creek, do you mean 'zona? Because if so, that's where I'm from. Say hi to the boys in Flat Tire for me.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Small world. I go back 2-3 times a year these days. Really enjoy the Bartlett Lake route, and the fact that there's never any need for winter clothing!English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0
