Minoura Space Mount SGS 400 - Tube Diameter?

Now in principle its a good idea, and the option for it to fit different diameter bars makes it even more versatile. And now comes the BUT.......why do they only fit a 22mm diameter tube on the end of it!!!

So those with lights that have brackets that are only suitable for 31.8mm bars are stuffed, unless you want to wrap strips of rubber around the tube in order to pack it out. Then it just looks like a bodge.

Anyone else experianced the same problem and if so what have you done to mount your lights?

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Some reflectors that come with new bikes are fitted with a 32mm bracket and supplied with a plastic spacer ring which makes it fit standard bars too. Ask in your local shop, they probably have a box of spares for a small donation to the Biscuit Fund.
