Reverb length where is it measured from

Im looking to buy a reverb stealth for my remedy,

I have measured up for a 380mm 420mm but unsure where they have taken the measure from ie bottom of post to top of extended bit where rails fit or bottom of extended post to top of post not including the saddle attachment bit, hope I've explained it ok

From memory - bottom of seat post to centre of seat rails, not forgetting that there is 60mm of minimum insertion or so. So in reality a 320mm post only gives apx 260mm from collar to saddle rail Note numbe s are not exact and are from memory.

Thanks for the reply john that would make the 420 mm fit better than the 380 mm it's about 40 mm from post top to saddle rails thankyou
