Lots of rides on FB Join-a-Ride
The facebook group Join-a-Ride has been created to be a community site for lots of different types of rides, local groups, paid for events etc., to be published and to join up with other people and ride.
It started as a result of a number of people meeting up on a paid ride wishing there was more variety of events, and not having to stick to paid ones.
The added bonus is that because people are organising their own local rides you get to find all the best bits that aren't on any maps.

I joined and then almost immediately left, its not really a workable concept IMHO. Too much irrelevant content to filter out. Thats the problem with Facebook - groups offer no way to filter content for relevance. I think lots of regional versions would be a much better idea.A Flock of Birds
