Build or new bike

I'm new to the forum but have been Cycling for years
Having got into Road bikes this year I want to upgrade to a carbon road bike.
I'm stuck between building up a bike or buy new.
I've been offered a focus izalco frame, carbon steam, sratpost 2008-09 which I've worked out would cost around £800-900 in total to build with ultegra gearing and and few other parts.
Or I can get a new 2012 trek madone 3.5 for £850-900
Which would be the better option?
Thanks paul

I would go with the Focus, simply because Trek are too common.Ribble Ultralite Racing 7005, Campagnolo Veloce groupset, Campagnolo Khamsin G3 wheel set0
