Your Aeroad size - happy?

Hello

I am wondering what size Aeroad people have bought and if they are happy.

If possible, please share your height and in-seam too. (I know it is more complicated than that, but that is about as much as I can expect people to give!)

I've looked at the geo and the stacks and HT sizes are odd compared to ST and stacks when you look at other bikes like Cannondale and Cervelo.

I'm based out in Hanoi at the moment so there is no way I can sit on a Canyon before I buy, otherwise I would. Thinking a 58 is for me even though a 56 is right in Cervelo and Cannondale.

Thank you

Dave

I ride a Large (58) Aeroad. I'm 6 ft tall exactly - not sure of my inseem. I had to play around with the stem length to find a comfortable position (it came with a 110mm stem but I use a 90mm stem which Canyon changed for free bar the shipping return cost) - I must have shorter arms. I'd probably get a Medium if I was doing it again but it's marginal for me and after the adjustments the bike is now comfortable to ride.

I don't think it's necessarily down to arm length at all. For me, as 6ft tall exactly, the Large would be too long. Medium would be it (probably with an 11cm stem). Note that the Aeroad is definitely quite a drawn out bike top-tube-wise and a relatively low bike too (not extremely though, just not 'high front end'). It's not geometry that will suit people at all who like riding 'mary poppins' style, that's for sure.
  • Thanks for your replies. Interesting to hear you would get an M next time around bisoner. I'm after a very aggressive fit so the M with a decent stem is probably the way forward. Cheers.

Still keen to hear from any other Aeroad riders....
