Strava advice. Missing data

Being a fool I occasionally forget to restart the garmin after a break. (Yes, I know about auto on and off - I don't like it).
So, I end up with bits in the middle of a ride that are just straight lines from a to b.
Is there some clever way of sorting the activity out on a map and just clicking on the bits you missed so it recalculated distance and elevation?
I was told you could do this on Garmin Connect, but I cannot see how.

Unfortunately that will not do it.
"Note that SNAP only moves existing points and does not create them. Thus, it is unable to just fill in missing sections."

I have a similar issue. My Endomondo tracker decided to pause itself so I lost 6 miles in the middle of a ride.0

Actually, the snap thing does correct it. Very easy to use.
However, it is important to completely delete the old ride before you try to upload the new one, as it gets hung up on duplicates. We then tried to delete the old ride and it got corrupted. Waiting for Strava support to sort it out.0
