Lezyne Deca Drive Battery

  • Manual suggests light will be charged after 4-6 hours OR when light illuminates blue.

Now, it would be weird if that Or was deliberate but it might be.

Unplug, press the main power button briefly. If it's solid green then it's fully charged (well, at least 75-100%) anyway.

FWIW, I see so many of these charging "issues: that, for me, it seems more like a bug, i.e it only ever properly indicates its charged if you have the right charger and right lead and the moon is full.

Mine has always been ok. I'd suggest giving it a go, if it's faulty you have nothing to lose here. I suspect you'll find that, after 6 hours of flashing blue, it is fully charged.

  • Mine does this all the time, unplug it, take the battery out, put it back in and try again.
Some of these charging circuits seem to be a little tempermental, I have found a very simple way with mine to tell if it's charging properly at the higher amperage and that's to see if it gets warm. Not warm not charging !
It's a great light when it works !

Battery indicator is green, when unplugged. I've left it running so well see how long until I get orange...
TBH, I bought it because I wanted peace of mind over the Chinese lights I've been using and I'm not instilled with any confidence so far. May as well get my cash back and use my Chinese ones :?:

Edit, I've also notice that I don't have the suggested number of modes. From power on I've got what I assume is Overdrive, another click appear to give me the same output as overdrive, next is clearly Economy, then flash 1 and flash 2. I can access the Overdrive race mode and can switch out of this mode too. Have I been sent an older version with less modes?
    Edit2
Just realised that overdrive is only accessed when in Overdrive Race mode! So I do have the correct number of settings! :P
  • Dunno. My mega has mid, high, low, flash.

See above, answered my own question
  • TBH, overdrive is probably overkill. I commute on the medium setting on my mega drive. I only ever switch to 1000 lumens when on a really really dark country lane.

400 lumens is generally enough I find on normal town/unlit roads. In the country pitch blackness I'd prob like a little bit more.
