Genesis or Geoff Smith ?

I'm in the market for a steel tourer come winter training bike and choices are a Genesis Equilibrium with 105 group set or a Geoff Smith hand built with sora 9 speed triple.
I've not seen the Genesis in the flesh, but Geoff Smith is my local bike shop and have seen one his.
I think I'm kinda answering my own question here but I'm leaning towards Geoff Smith as he is local and a top bloke to boot.
The Genesis is nice and the only reason I mention it is that at the same price as Geoffs bike it has 105.
I think I'll support my local bike shop eh ?

You're getting less for your money though... ultimately, buy the bike you like... the GS is probably better put together (BB, headset etc... )left the forum March 20230

The only bonus I see with the Genesis is that it's got 105, then do you want a compact on a tourer ?0
