New bike got it in September. after my last ride I've noticed a considerable amount of side to side play from the rear wheel and a rattle when it does it? What is this and surely pretty much brand new well maintained bike should have no problems.
Its a bit worrying tbh what should I do?

Is the QR tight? If it is then take it back....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

If it's an external cam QR it should be tight enough to leave a white mark on your hand when you do it up, or just get a Shimano one as they are much better!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Put a 8mm allen key (I think it was 8mm) in the rear mech side of the maxle to do it up tight. then flip the cam on the other side. Thats the only way I could get a decent tension on the maxle on the back of my mojo.0

I've seen the maxle on RS forks come loose over time and need the allen key treatment to get a decent tension.0
